The
first snow arrived today, calmly in the morning as tiny flakes that came with a
cold front, half hearted mostly, as they sparsely fell to the ground.
Dawn is
earlier now, with the time change of two days ago, and this snow happened as
the building light revealed a clearing sky, making the combination of sparse
flakes and filtered sunlight strangely calming.
This
was no winter-like storm, announcing its prematurity with fierceness. Rather,
it is as if the season is content to gracefully reveal that autumn can be
gently succeeded by the coming of winter.
