Two
young boys walked by on Grove this afternoon, each pulling a sled behind him,
trailing ten feet by a twine that stretched from gloved hand to runners. The
road itself is still heavily snow covered, it being simply too cold for the
salt to do much good, and the plows tend to neglect this section of town.
Thus
the boys trudged slowly by, leaning forward in order to gain purchase in the
drifts on the street, bound for the steep hill on the town soccer field.
Once we
finish the driveway, I imagine we too might decide to go sledding there, for
the hill is steep and drifted in, making for a short yet thrilling ride.
